After last year’s deluge, courtesy of Hurricane Bertha, fingers were tightly crossed for fine weather and we were not disappointed. Show day arrived bright and fair. A continuous stream of visitors soon filled the car park and the site was buzzing.
More than 550 birds competed for the prestigious Poultry Club Royal Championship Show at the Royal Bath & West Show last week, with a chocolate and white Muscovy duck taking the honours.

On Sunday, I packed my photography gear and a pair of my best ducks and headed off to the British Waterfowl Association’s 27th National Championship Waterfowl Exhibition held at Moreton Morrrel near Warwick.
The Northampton and District Poultry Club Egg Show was held on 17th May at Crick Village Hall. The show was moved from the Old School Hall to this larger venue, which proved a great success. 123 entries were received in 24 classes.
