Goose Breeds Pages: Pictures of Geese, Breeds of Domestic Geese
Chickens left and right eyes act independently. The right looks for food whilst the left keeps a look out for predators or their own prey. They are pretty good predators to insects, frogs and mice themselves!
Goose breeds are usually grouped into Heavy, Medium and Light weight classes. Commercially, Geese are usually bred for their meat, foie gras and occasionally for specialty eggs but for the specialist breeders and keepers of pure breed geese, they provide charming and intelligent pets, useful ‘guard dogs' and efficient 'lawn mowers'. Remember not all White Geese are Embdens, just like not every white duck is an Aylesbury! Commercially, there are many crosses that have been created.
There are many breeds of geese to choose from, each breed has it's own section where we put photos and any breed specific articles.
