We are a hobby site that’s always looking for people with passion to help improve poultrykeeper. If you feel you could write for us (or contribute in some way), please get in touch via our contact page. We are particularly interested in:
We welcome news, show reports, product reviews or information and articles on any aspect of keeping poultry from correspondents. If you would like to send something to us to consider publishing, please use our contact page.
We are always on the look out for new and interesting articles. If you would like to write an article, we will consider it for inclusion on the site although it’s usually worth contacting us first so we’re not duplicating content.
A biography box is included at the end of every article which can say a little bit about you and we can include links to 3 of your social networks such as Twitter / Facebook / Google+ / LinkedIn or Youtube Channel.
If you contribute more than 5 articles to the site, we can include more information about you on our contributors page.
No marketing / agencies please – we will not include promotional links for the purpose of link building.
Editors gather news, reports and articles, check facts and sometimes have to work with authors to re-word parts of articles to improve grammar or structure of an article. They upload them to poultrykeeper, ready for publishing.
We have editors responsible for different regions of the World and currently have the following positions vacant:
Australia Editor – to cover news / write articles for the Australasian region.
Europe Editor – to cover news / write articles of interest for any / all of the countries in Europe except U.K.
Proof readers are usually people who can spot typos and can turn articles we write into better English.
We welcome help from proof readers, especially now we are starting to take articles from Europe where English might not be an author’s first language.
Even if you are not a professional photographer, we welcome amateur photos of poultry in back garden settings.
If you fancy yourself as a poultry photographer, there’s always a long list of photos we need to enhance our articles. We also try to visit poultry shows to take photos but can’t physically get around to them all.
If you are a PR agency looking to promote a new product or service, we will sometimes feature press releases in our backyard poultry news section. Please use the form on that page to submit your article or email email@example.com.
