The Welsh Federation of Poultry Clubs championship show took place on 16th October in the Fur and Feather Pavillion at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells. This show incorporates regional shows for the Old English Bantam, Australorp, Silkie, White Wyandotte, Asian Hardfeather, Belgian, Brahma, Pekin, Buff Orpington, Rosecomb, Araucana, Sussex clubs and is a regional championship show for the British Waterfowl Association, Call Duck Association and the Indian Runner Duck Association.
The show was well attended throughout the day and there was a good selection of chickens, ducks and geese as well as a few turkeys. There were many opportunities to talk to enthusiasts about their birds and the standards were very high.

Results of the Welsh Federation Poultry Show 2010
Show champion was Waterworth and Woods with a White Leghorn bantam which also won best light soft feather bantam. Reserve champion was L. Ewan who also won champion waterfowl with a Black East Indian duck.
Best trio was Huw Evans' blue German Langshans and large hard feather went to J. Tickle with a Grey Carlisle.
Bantam hard feather went to Martyn Woolway with his Spangle cockerel and large soft feather to A. Carter with a Buff Orpington
bantam.Soft feather heavy Peter Simpkins' Buff Rock cockerel and best true bantam went to Matt Houghson with his black Belgian D'Anvers.
Best Eggs went to A. Bennett and best rare breed went to G. Woodland.
Best juvenile exhibitor was Cennydd Hughes with his Rhode Island Red bantam cockerel and best junior handler was Thomas Bedgood.
