Garvo has recently introduced a new pellet feed for poultry. Garvo 703 White Feathered Pellets are specifically formulated for white feathered breeds. Carotene that is included in many feeds is used to give a better yolk colour. It is also found in grass as well as maize found in mixed corn, but this is thought to cause discolouration of white feathers and causes legs to turn yellow. Garvo 703 White Feathered Pellets are 100% free of Carotene but still give the same shiny feather quality and growth as Garvo's other products.
Garvo recommends feeding as following: hatching to 3 weeks: in combination with 50% 107508 Alfastart chicks. As from 3 weeks until laying: 100% 703, from laying onwards add 20% wheat and sea shells. Our advice is to be careful with feeding other carotene rich products like grass or maize. For all other breeds which require brilliant yellow legs, we recommend feeding 702mini pellets then 714 pellets or 715 mash growers for your Hens/Pullets and 723 for Cockerels/Cocks. Cockerels have more and broader feathers, and generally develop more meat than Hens. Garvo's 723 fancy young cockerel grower pellets will ensure an optimally developed. 723 Cockerel grower and can be given from ten to twelve weeks old until showing has finished. A steady development is very important to prevent hens from laying eggs too early. 714 Fancy young hens grower pellets or 715 Fancy young hens grower mash ensures an equal growth and an optimally developed hen. You can give the feed starting from ten to twelve weeks until they have laid their first egg.
