Good news from across the 'pond': This week, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed the bill that makes selling eggs from caged hens illegal from 2015. This means no more eggs produced from battery hens can be sold anywhere in the State of California.

The main force behind the move has been the Humane Society of the United States that has over 10 Million members. The organisation has a number of vets as well as a number of lawyers working for them to assist them with their goals.
