Here are a selection of pictures of Pilgrim Geese. On hatching, males are yellow & silver-grey with orange bills, females are olive-grey with dark brown bills, her overall greenish hue rarely reproduces well in the photo. The bill colour can be the clearest difference at hatching but within a week the brown is changing to orange. By 4 weeks old the males are clearly white with white feathers coming through and the females are grey. The eyes of mature birds are blue in the male and brown in the female (unlike the female West of England Geese, the other autosexing breed, that are blue).
