Here are a selection of photos of Black Rock Chickens. The Black Rock was bred by Peter and Margaret Siddons of the Muirfield hatchery for 40 Years. The breeding stock was almost lost but fortunately in 2010 Eddie Lovett took over the breeding stock. The Black Rock is a Hybrid cross of specially selected strains of the Rhode Island Red cock and Plymouth Barred Rock hen which are now at Crosslee Poultry Farm, Bridge of Weir, in Scotland and the future of the Black Rock has been secured. The Black Rock Hatchery Website has more information.
