The Houdan chicken originates from the town of Houdan, which is located to the west of Paris. The Houdan was believed to have been created from the Polish, Crèvecœur as well as the Dorking. The Houdan unusually has 5 toes and V shaped combs and is stunning to look at.
There are a few colour varieties available including White, Cuckoo and Mottled. It is also available as a bantam variety.
