I can't help with the drakes but just wanted to say welcome to the forum anyway.
Maybe you could narrow the area down a bit, if you want them from nearby? Essex is quite a big area!

Three female ducks, one White Campbell, one Dark Campbell, and one Abacot Ranger, all bought as ducklings in May 2011 (so they're about seven months old). I love them but my husband is insisting on rehoming because they are making a mess on his lawn!
They are laying well - we are getting 1-2 large eggs per day even now, in the depths of winter.
I am very fond of them so a good permanent home is essential. £15 for all three.

Yes agree with Alex, although I would probably avoid a muscovy...my muscovies and mallard based ducks do not really get on!

That's so sad! I'd get him another female duck - any breed will do and he'll be as happy as can be! Mixing him with the chooks won't really do much for him as they are not the same and the cockerel may take offence, some do some don't, I'm sure someone will be able to give you another girl of some sort to keep him happy, try the freeads or preloved.

Waterfowl For Sale or Wanted • Emperor / Diepholz geese wanted! (inc ganders)
EMPEROR GEESE WANTED!
I am looking for some more Emperor geese to join my girls - boys & girls welcome, youngsters preferred but any age considered & would hugly appreciate any info on breeders in the north of the UK. (We are based near York) Although i've hatched a couple of these very pretty geese in recent summers, i would like a few more birds to allow us to hatch a few goslings each summer.
Please note that these birds are also known as "Emperor geese" as well as "Diepholz geese"!
I will add some general pictures of this breed & as soon as i can get my phone to connect to my laptop, i'll add some pictures of mine!

Princess went missing yesterday, married to ruby the boy. Since then have fully penned all chickens & their new man button. So have kept ruby male duck in own coup & pen. Do I find another female for him? It's breaking my heart, as he just calls for his princess! And he is so lonely! I would love to put him in with hens&button the cockerel but they would fight? Xx

Waterfowl For Sale or Wanted • Forum Width
Hello all..
I have increased the width of the forum from 900 pixels to 1200 pixels wide. This is so that we can increase the size of pictures posted (not yet implemented but will come soon...)
If you are using a laptop or PC with a low screen resolution, you may find this doesn't fit your screen and you'll get scroll bars appearing.
I have created a separate template on the forum that is the same width as the forum used to be (900 pixels).
You can select this if you'd prefer the old width.... but when the new photo size is set up, you'll find scroll bars on photos as they will be too big for the 900 wide template.
Anyway, if you want the old width back, you can:
Go to your User Control Panel.
Select the 'Board Preferences' tab
Select My Board Style as 'Reduced Width'
If you have any problems, please PM me and I'll try to help.

It should be fine to keep a pair together and then hatch from them to get females. You will of course have the drakes to contend with but you can at least be sure to get some females next year. You can collect eggs over 10 days or so, turn them daily and then incubate after 10 days when you have a reasonable number of eggs,
It would be interesting to see some photos of the offspring to see how they turn out too...

Thanks for all your info - very interesting.
We will carry on with the pair we have and keep looking for a couple of females, even if it takes some time, and hopefully this pair will breed next year.
