Cats are usually scarred of chickens. They are often too big for a cat to tackle however, there are certainly cases where cats have attacked and killed chickens. Some cats are more interested in hunting than others and some chickens are smaller than others. Young chickens and smaller breeds are of course mostly at risk.

It is best to take precautions with chickens and cats just in case.
