We are a hobby producer, specialising in a small number of breeds of poultry. All of our birds are kept in small free range breeding flocks on grass and are rotated regularly to prevent the build up of worms and other diseases on the ground. We have small numbers of pullets each year so it is advisable to pre-order them in advance.

Copper Black Marans Chickens For Sale.

We sell the famous dark brown egg laying Copper Black Marans. We started our line 5 years ago and only breed from second year birds that are the right type and produce the darkest brown eggs. We hatch from early and late layers which ensures they are the birds laying the most number of eggs in a season and are therefore the best utility birds as was originally required in the breed. We only hatch from the right size, shape and colour eggs. Our birds are now at their best to produce large chocolate brown fertile hatching eggs and strong chicks in 2010. We sell hatching eggs, chicks (unsexed) and Point Of Lay pullets. It is highly advisable to pre-order eggs and pullets as they are very popular and go very quickly. We have hatching eggs available from early February through to Late October. Our birds are laying on Average 190 to 200 Eggs in their first year.

Cream Legbar Chickens For Sale.

We have been breeding the Blue Egg laying Cream Legbar for 6 years now in a closed flock. We have spent a long time working on improving our bloodline, not only for their looks but also for the number and quality of eggs they lay. We breed from second year hens that are of the correct type and lay consistently good eggs. All of our eggs are the correct shade of blue and a good size. We have improved the number of eggs our birds lay in a year and on average they are laying 185 in their first year.

Abacot Ranger Ducks For Sale.

We keep 2 separate bloodlines of Abacot Ranger ducks. The first is a UK bloodline, the second is a German bloodline that we imported from Hannover in 2009. The German ducks are slightly smaller than the UK ducks. We have very small numbers of Abacot Ranger ducks for sale and we are only able to sell them in pairs. Please pre-order your ducks in order to avoid dissappointment.

To make room for our new German stock, we currently have 2 pairs of Abacot Ranger Ducks available - one pair is shown in the photo above - a 2008 hatch and another pair is a 2009 hatch. They are ringed with permanent leg rings. The sister to this duck won the best Abacot Ranger at the British Waterfowl Association show in November 2008, these come from Sue and Geoff Chases bloodline.

Incubation and Hatching Service

We have 4 incubators continuously running over the spring and summer months and have a great deal of experience in hatching 'difficult to hatch' eggs. We can usually provide a hatching service if required.
